Appointed as the CEO of UnitedHealthcare in April 2021, Thompson focused his efforts on implementing a value-based care approach aimed at keeping people healthy rather than solely treating illnesses. During his leadership, UnitedHealthcare demonstrated constant evolution within various segments of its operations, such as global, employer, individual, and government business.
