Easy Christmas Breakfast Casserole Recipe for Holiday Mornings

Yuletide mornings never lose their fairy-tale delight; as well as the gentle murmur of happiness and the universal scent of cinnamon, maple, and the glistening sun coming through the window at the first hint of winter. For me, the gifts and magnificent ornaments were never a priority; the unlimited joy, the dear tales, and breakfast took their place.

I remember individually illuminated Christmas trees and the shades that reflected onto the house walls as well as the sounds that filled a house through the holiday playlist. But it was Mother’s delicious breakfast casserole that complemented the feeling of a holiday morning and was full of flavors I loved.

Over the years I also developed my version of this beloved custom and although the recipe remains the same for me there is always a little something that I introduce to it. It was all well and good, however, for this wonderful dish turned into the delight of our holiday brunch as the aromas pervaded the house, inviting all to come and gather at the table. Now I can happily bare my favorite of mine — a do-ahead dish perfect for a Christmas morning or any other occasion where you gather family and friends.
