Tommy’s Cereal Adventure
A Sweet Start to a Busy Day
It was a typical hurried morning in the Friar-Smiths’. Little Tommy awoke with sunny beams peeping through his window ready for a brand new 3rd grade day. He could even smell the sweetness that comes with the breakfast favorite cereal set to be served in the kitchen.
“Froot Loops!” He yelled this as he leaped out of his bed. He hurried to dress up , did a mad rush to the breakfast table and saw a revert colored bowl for him. He always woke up to eat his mom’s well-prepared heavy breakfast knowing well that he would require energy to go through the day’s activities.
The more he savoured the crunchy and fruity rings, the more a bitter — sweet ring of cherry, orange and lemon spread a smile across Tommy’s face. The offering of red, green, yellow and blue loops of gauze resembled the standard rainbows to him. Turning to the clock, he hurriedly swallowed the remaining spoonfuls of sweetness , then grab his backpack before rushing out the door to catch the bus. His mom bid him farewell in delight knowing that with the vitamins and minerals in the Froot Loops, she had fed her son well enough for his growing- active body he has full of energy to face the day.
