Understanding Bob Bryar:The Unsung Hero of MCR

My Chemical Romance’s former drummer, Bob Bryar, was discovered dead at his Tennessee home at the age of 44.Authorities said that when they found his body on November 27, they noticed that it was very decomposed, indicating that he had been dead for a while. On November 4, he was last seen alive. His belongings were not damaged, thus there were no indications of foul play.

Bob Bryar is a name most recognized by the staunch followers of hardcore punk/post-hardcore music, especially the My Chemical Romance (MCR) family. Bryar was the drummer of MCR in some of the most important of the band’s years, and his contribution is irreplaceable to their music. Additionally, his style of drumming contributed to creating the energetic-mythological sentiment that was the foundation of the band’s records Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, and The Black Parade.
